DESCRIPTION:\nWe are pleased to present guest speaker Jim Bates for the ETEPC February luncheon. Jim will be speaking to the group on several key topics relating to the management of real property. \n \nJim Bates, S.V.P, Regions Natural Resources and Real Estate Department Lead and Timber Fund Manager Jim joined Regions’ Natural Resources and Real Estate Department in 2010 serving as the Portfolio Manager of Regions Timber Fund. In 2017, Jim was promoted to Senior Vice President and duly served as the Birmingham Regional Manager and the Timber Fund Manager. Jim was promoted to Department Head in April 2022 where he oversees 60 Natural Resource Professionals responsible for the sustainable management of real property assets across Regions’ 15-state footprint with a market capitalization in excess of $1.5 Billion.\n \nPrior to joining Regions, Jim served Plum Creek Timber Company and MeadWestvaco Forestry Division in multiple managerial capacities escalating in authority and responsibility across the southeastern United States. Jim is a registered forester, has 26 years’ experience in the forest industry, holds a B.S in Forest Resource Management from Auburn University and a Master of Business Administration from Aspen University. He is a member of the Alabama Forestry Association and the Society of American Foresters.\n \n \n \n\n\n\n \nWe look forward to seeing everyone Wednesday, February 5th     \n \n \n \nC. E.
